The Hardwick, Abergavenny
Stephen Terry was awarded his first Michelin star, at the age of 25 whilst working at The Canteen in Chelsea. He was awarded his second Michelin Star some years later working at The Walnut Tree, Abergavenny. Now as owner and chef at The Hardwick, Stephen creates the most wonderful dishes, you can visit for lunch or dinner but booking is definitely recommended:

The Angel Hotel, Abergavenny
The Angel Hotel has held an ‘Award of Excellence’ for their afternoon tea since 2008. Only nine hotels outside of London have achieved this. The Bear Hotel, Crickhowell
The Bear Hotel famous far and wide for its welcoming atmosphere, historic character, convivial surroundings and good food. A cobbled forecourt, archway into the inner courtyard and 19th-century stagecoach timetable in the bar are all reminders of the Bear's former role. Now it serves excellent restaurant and bar food and welcomes families of all ages. It also serves a great lunch time menu:

Above the Market Hall in Crickhowell is a hidden gem. The full English breakfasts are second to none and the lunch time menu is almost as good. Everything here is homemade and run by a local family, you can either eat at the cafe or take the food home with you;
